If Bob Dylan Can Do It…

Well, I’ve done it again.

I’ve set an actual goal… the goal being to have the next EP out, “The Good Fight” by March 20th.

NO, its not recorded yet, Yes, I’m giving myself less time then I probably should to do production, but I figure some of the best albums have been done in a week. Bob Dylan would do one take versions of his stuff and leave it at that. So I think this whole idea of spending months in a studio like I’ve done before is a bust.

You set up your gear, make sure the songs are at a place where they are at the very least SONGS. And Giver.

My biggest gripe is finishing lyrics. Some of the new tracks (7 In Total) arent even fully written. But screw it. The main idea is there and the whole point of it isnt all wrapped up in the finality of the lyrics. Yes it helps… god of course it does, but then again some of the best melodies come from words I tag in as I’m laying down a a vocal.

I have roughly 3 weeks to do it all. 3 weeks to finialize, track, mix, master and release this EP.

But then its done and I can move on the the next one… there seems to be some truth in the “Artistic Movement”, being that its just that… a period or movement… no matter how long… even if it is… 3 weeks.
